When naming this wine, as has become custom, we looked back to the Fortieth Rule of the Rule of St Benedict. A "hemina" is an old Roman measurement of liquid (roughly 274 ml) and is the daily wine allowance for monks in the Rule (it was assumed that they weren’t strong enough to abstain from drinking). Warning: this Pinot Noir Rosé is so good it will be incredibly difficult to stop at one “hemina”.
